Welcome To Dynamic Performance
Dynamic Performance is a unique service provider that offers motion analysis of both running and cycling. Motion analysis of running and cycling has the potential to improve performance, efficiency and determine if any biomechanical issues may be linked to injury. This service can work in conjunction with health professionals (sports physicians, physiotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths, myotherapists, massage therapist etc) and coaches.
Assessments are completed by a physiotherapist with current involvement in sport science research, aiming to provide person specific programs. Monitoring of progress and improvement is easily achieved with world leading motion analysis software.
Following assessments the oppurtunity for running sessions addressing technique for injury management and prevention will be discussed.
The service is a physiotherapy based service and therefore it is covered by private health rebates, however this may vary depending on the insurer.
About Us - Kevin Lieberthal
After completing a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) at The University of Melbourne in 2001, I have had a significant change in my sporting involvement. After countless years running around most of Melbourne's squash courts, I switched to triathlon and more recently to marathon and ultra-marathon running.
As my passion for running grew, memories of watching Bruce Fordyce winning the Comrades Marathon enticed me to travel to South Africa to complete the gruelling 89km's of hills.
Thus far I have completed 8 marathons (Melbourne x4, Canberra x2, Gold Coast, Berlin) and 3 Ultra marathons, having recently completed the Melbourne Marathon in October 2015. Having run a down comrades marathon, I aim to complete the up run 2017. This years Melbourne Marathon (2016) will provide a platform for a large group of runners ready to tackle the Comrades marathon in 2017.
I have completed studying a Masters in Exercise Science with the primary focus on the impact of Achilles Tendinopathy on lower limb function. Blending my Physiotherapy knowledge, and further study in biomechanics, I aim to align both the body and the mechanics of my two favourite sporting activities; running and cycling.
After working in sports medicine practises I joined Equilibria in 2005, where I have worked for over 8 years. Dynamic Performance is currently operating from within Equilibria, Click Here To Contact Us
I have been fortunate to have presented some of my research on Achilles tendon pathology at the 2014 SMA (Sports Medicine Australia Conference) as well as present both lectures and running biomechanics workshops to other physiotherapists through the SPA (Sports Physiotherapy Australia group). I will also be presenting this year at the 2016 SMA conference in Melbourne at the MCG.
